the tranny has an internal filter (no pan) that can only be changed by rebuilding it. 1800$ or so. however u dont really have to replace it until theres problems. i would however put a tranny cooler on.. it will save u tons of money as u just bought a tranny monster my friend.

I had a '98 3.0 for a year until it was totaled, and I took the insurance money and bought a '99 3.0 about 2 months ago!

I don't have any modifications (n2o, etc), but I have concerns about the life of my transmission. Should I still consider the tranny cooler or is it mainly something for people who use engine modifications?

I have the same question....plus, when I bought my 99 3.0 I got the extended warranty. Does anyone have any experience whith warranty issues resulting from adding a cooler? Should I get a letter from Acura Corp stating it's ok? I'd hate to screw the warranty pooch on this one.

change the coolant...i would. they might of put water instead of coolant..

check the battery to see if there is acid...clean that....

change the pvc(i think thats what its called)(looks like a L shape...on top of vavle cover) when you change the oil.....

if you have leather....get some leather cleaner....

Throw an air freshner to get rid of the smell of your friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
