needle question

ok here is the story, got bored yesterday and took out my guage cluster. Decided to paint the plate around the guages white to match my car, looks hot. Second thing i did was take out the lights on top of the cluster that shine down to illuminate to whole thing. The problem is now my needles are pretty much invisible. I have a 98 with the orange needles. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to light them up??? I dont know what to do but i sure dont want those two little lights shining down on the console, i think that looks dumb.. Any ideas??

the only thing i could think of is to get some neon green blacklight paint, it should react to the blue glow of my guages. Im gonna try it and ill let you guys know how it works out.

so your going to paint your needles? don't do it because the paint is extra weight on the needles. therefore your readings on the gauges will not be accurate.
