Need torque spec for brake bolts

Im doing my brakes soon and need to know the torque spec. Anyone know the torque spec for the brake caliper holding bolts? I know the caliper mounting bolt is 80 ft lbs but forgot the torque for the two holding bolts.

54 ft lbs seems alittle off to me...I was thinking maybe around 30ft lbs.

No they are 2 front and 2 rear...not 4 rears. Fronts has 10 slots and rear has 8 slots.

If you are talking about the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to the caliper bracket they are 36lb-ft.

the pads never really come off of the rotor surface and you can hear them after I brake and even when I havent used the brakes in awhile. They dont get super hot or show excess wear, but you can still hear them as if they were still being applied.

I don't think it will be covered because you used aftermarket parts which voids the warranty.

I can simply put the stocks back on....its just the rear rotors that have the recall correct?

i know what u mean shiney
i really think those are interchangable because of the 2 lil screws that hold the rotors in place

does 98 + 99 have the hub over rotor design like the 97s?

if they do, then these are clearly wrong

No... 97 are different from 98 and 99. BTW i know these are the correct one for my 99 cl.

Besides hub over rotors design are a pain in the ass to remove. You would need an impact wrench to remove that damn hub nut, as for 98 and 99 its two simple screws that hold the rotors onto the hub.

lol... I remember sitting in front of my rotors from dusk till dawn just to drill that bastard out. Screw drivers just strip those damn screws and make it almost impossible to screw out without a drill. I got pissed so i didn't put those screws back in, works great without them and changing rotors is a peice of cake. Wish i had an impact wrench at that time.

you have to use a screw driver..

1. sit w/ torch for 10 minutes

2. put screw driver in the screws and then pound on the back of the screw w/ a big ass hammer

3. unscrew

if 3 doesnt work repeat again lol

god hondas a bunch of dick heads when it comes to accord brakes
