I saw a pretty clean dropped, debaged 98 or 99 today (judging by the grille at least) on stock rims. But I'm wondering if it's a 2.3 or 3.0. Am I correct in saying they have different rims? Is there anywhere I can find pics of all the stock rims for each year and engine type?

BTW, I didn't have a chance to see it up close.

BTW it was black but i saw it up here at school in PA.

 

Do the same model years come with different rims? My '98 2.3 has these rims

 

Katana's is a 97 2.2 I think.

 

98-99 3.0 Has mesh type wheels.

 

^^only the 99 has those. The 98 3.0 has the wheels I posted in my link above.

 

^^^well their both ugly IMO the 97's came with the nicest stockers.

 

I love my stock wheels. I think the ones like Katana on in those pics are the worst, followed by the wire looking ones. The 5 star split is aight.

 

Correction the 97 3.0 has the nicest stocks 5 spokes.

whatever year or model it was the split 5-stars are the best... got rid of them to SooDARK though.

yeah I think those are better than the regular 5 star... the split 5 star is polished looks real nice much better than the dull regular 5 stars. I was thinking the same thing, if those came in 18" I would get a set of those... but to bad they are only 16.

 

Does anyone make replica CL-S wheels to fit first gens? I like those above and beyond any other aftermarket wheel I've seen on a 1st gen CL.
