In need of some serious helpp!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me, what should I use to stop the slightly knocking sound in the engine?

What can I use to tighten the rattling sounds I hear throughout the car when I drive (ex. around the door and in the trunk...etc).

and when I release off of my brakes I get a clank sound in the front end. Does any one have an idea is to what this may be? and no smart remarks please this is serious!

P.S What engine (model #) does an 1997 CL carry

Thank you in advance for your help.

For interior rattles, just do what ya gotta do. There is no real way to eliminate rattles, since they all come from different places on different cars. If its two pieces of plastic rattling together, just jam something between them to keep them apart. If its between plastic and the window, again just jam something in there. Some are more complex than that. Rattles just happen, can't always get rid of them.

the doors u can adjust teh jam. there are 3 screws (thier pretty hard to get out) just loosten them and move the jam in like 1/8".
that should tighten up the door. the trunk i think ur out of luck, u could prolly get a new seal. the knocking in the engine could be the valves. take it in and get them adjusted. its not hard if u know what ur doing, but seing as though u didnt know what kind of engine u had i wouldnt sugest it. the clank when u release the brakes are ur calipers....kind of.... theres little shimms between the brakes and the caliper. u may need to 1 get some if u dont have them, or 2 replace the brakes if u do. hope this helps, cause i hate typing.

My CL has always done this (3 sets of rotors/pads, now)!

I don't know why.

Same here, and now that somone suggested the shims, i just relized i left the front driver side shim out! There are 2 on one pad (if you've done this before you know what i'm talking about) and i only put 1 back on! Makes sense all of a sudden!
