Need to replace original accessory fogs
Need to replace original accessory fogs
I have owned my 98 2.3 CL 5 speed premium since new. Purchased OEM dealer-installed foglamps, delivered installed, worked ever since. Left lamp just burned out. Dealer tells me the relpacements are no longer available through Acura/Honda dealers. Lamp is in a metal bracket that attaches to cared out areas in corners of front bumper opening.
Anyone know how the units come apart, if any replacements are available? Lights use factory wiring harness, switch in dash matches cruise control switch.
Thanks for any help!

If the bulb is just burned out you can easily replace it with an ordinary H3 bulb(pepboys, autozone, advanced). If your lens is cracked or actually needs replacing, then you pretty much just have to keep checking ebay or junkyards for a replacement unit.

if it were me, I'd take them off(both), tear down, clean, paint if necessary and replace the bulbs. Fogs can get pretty nasty after many years and cleaning and replacing bulbs is a lot cheaper than buying new.

They're h3 bulbs just replace em
Great info, the link was perfect. Wow, Acurazine's the bomb. THANKS.
Whole lamp is in great shape except for hexagon-like reflector over bulb. Lens, housing, mounting bracket, rear reflector fine.
Reflector over bulb looks a little discolored and heat-deformed, so I may still look for a better used lamp and replace its bulb.
Other ideas about repairing reflector over bulb? I also may replace bulb and see what quality of light is in lamp's current shape.
Thanks!
