Need opinion on HeadUnit (pics inside)
I currently have the Kenwood eXcelon DDX-7015 (not complete install....found out the DVD doesnt work so sending back for a new one)
But I was playing with it, and its kinda low for me. Plus since its an auto i have to put it in drive or nutrual before i can eject anything because the screen comes out. I am looking at the Kenwood KVT-717DVD which is a 7 inch pop out screen. I kinda like that because it puts the screen higher.
Anyone out there that has and pros and cons for both. Thanks.

i was in the same kind of situation. flip out = old and busted. double din = teh new hotness. Not every car can utilize a double din unit. Might as well take advantage of ours and keep things looking cool and OEM. Id also say, save up a few hundred more bucks and get a unit with navi.

yeah i am getting navi with it....but do you get distracted from it while driving? since it was touch screen, i was looking down ever soo often. then again maybe because i wasnt use to it.

the double din is with navi vs. the flip out with navi is about $300 more for the flip out.

yeah thats another reason why i dont want to get the double din. atleast withthe flip it wont be "out in the open" but I looked inside with the windows up...and you cant really tell that there is a screen there. errr...i still dont know.

I was waiting for a thread about this unit.. sucks the dvd player didnt work 
I say you stay with the double din, klepto is right they are ownage.
Also, its summer time i bet you are going to use your climate control often, that screen might get in front of the temp down buttom as well

Didnt' know you have that unit brent. My dad has the same one in his sequoia with the 5.1 add on unit. I'll bring the sequoia out to one of the mini meets one day. Its hooked up. hahaha
Keep the double din it looks alot better. From the picture you took it seems like it sticks out alot. Have you tried to make it flush to the dash?

it wasnt fully installed. we tried to put a dvd in there to test it, and it didnt work. so had to send it back....going to get a new one soon!
