Hey everybody,

New guy, just need some input - I currently have a AEM CAI intake in the car. I would like to change the intake for something that is not as loud, when the car is idleling - any suggestions as to what I can do?

AEM is by far the quietest aftermarket intake that style. Except for comptechs new Ice Box, but it's expensive.

I am trying to sell my car - the people that have seen it love the car, but don't like the sound that the intake makes when it resonates.
Do you know if the comp tech ice box also sounds like that?

if youre selling.....put your stock one back on and give me your CAI! or....ill send you my short ram and switch for your cai....mine doesnt sound loud at all when idling......honestly, it sounds fine unless you punch it...then it gets a lil' loud....get back to me

wish I could put the old stock one back on - It was disposed off without my knowing. I heard that the short ram intakes still make that whistleling noise.

I think I am the only person I know that does not get annoyed with the noise.

You can go to the dealer or here and get a stock airbox.

Its cheaper than getting another performance intake and you can sell your AEM and get you money back.

is there any way to fit the comptech icebox?
if so.. that is suppose to be quiet..

only a low growl-- nothing highpitched
