in need of a new engine...
well it looks like my engine is a piece of shit...i just bought the CL about 3 weeks ago for 2800, my parents want me to get another 2.2cl engine........but im thinking a h22a swap, how easy is the swap?
why are you considering the H22? Are you looking for more power. With power comes responsibility!!! (always wanted to say that) lol. When and if you convert to OBDI it will be a hassle getting your car inspected. There are certain complications with the H22 which will cause major headache. If you are looking for a cheap solution to you issue and want just a car to drive around, go with the F22. If you wants to be adventurous and drive hard go with the H22. I suggest you try to find the OBDII 96 prelude ECU to make things much easier.

i didnt even get to look at the engine yet, but the chick that owned the car b4 me drove it for 118,000 without doing and service to it at all, when the oil light came up she just went and bought more qt.'s of oil and fill it up to the top and blew o2 sensors, and a bunch of other crap , im surprized the transmition is still even good
yeah im actaully looking for more power, and i have the opportunity to do this swap without wasting money changing a good engine, because mine is shitty, so why not do this swap
well if you going to do the swap, if this is your primary transportation, id suggest that you have another car to use tho. Swaps aren't 100% reliabile! you are going to have problems, maybe more after you do the swap. so i would really think about this. don't ass out your self just yet.
I think he said $2800. Anyway, if the motor in there now is still running decently and you want to swap in the H22a, I think you should keep it in there and make sure you do the swap right the first time. Don't rush out and grab the first H22 engine you can get your hands on. Make sure its exactly what you want, and try to decide what you want to do with it before just throwing it in.
