I'm not aware of any timing marks on the belt. There is a mark on the crankshaft timing belt sprocket (little dimple at end of one sprocket) to be aligned w/ pointer on the engine behind the sprocket. Pointer should be near vertical. This is TDC for crankshaft.

On camshaft sprocket, there is a spoke w/ UP marked on it. It should be pointed up and there are smaller horizontal marks on both sides of the sprocket lugs that should align w/ the top of the cylinder head or back of timing belt cover (depends on engine, I think yours should be back of timing belt cover).

However, rather than take my word I would suggest buying a Haynes manual or downloading the 94-97 Accord manual from hondahookup.com. The 97 Accord 2.2 vtec engine should be same as yours. There is no room for getting it just about right as the consequences are a damaged engine!

good luck

Do you mean the Haynes manual for the 94-97 Acccord too? Because when I bought my car I looked all over the internent and at every car parts store in my area and I always got the same answere, that one wasn't made for our car.

No, I don't know there is a Haynes for the Acuras but the 2.2L engines are shared w/ Accords and many body parts are same, so a Accord Haynes would be useful. However, the 94-97 Honda manual from hondahookup.com is even better and free, although download time w/ a phone modem is very long.

good luck
