hope you're sitting down....

your clutch is toast. happened to me few weeks ago. get it checked out soon before it engages literally while its still on the floor (like happened to me). the guy said my clutch had shattered and was in several pieces (woohoo) good luck, not a major repair, maybe a good oppurtunity to upgrade.

I say stage 1 street clutch, clutch masters or Exedy(what I got). I love how it drives. not as sluggish as stock.

dude lied to u... besides pushing 500+ hp theres almost no way to shatter a clutch. thier cintrifigal and reinforced with layers of steel. now ur pressure plate is a different storey. the teeth on it (where it grabbs on to the thro out bearing) bend quite often. and usually only break off if the thro-out bearing gets ceized, then connects with it. but the tb usually wines for quite a while before that happens.

his problem is eather the clutch master cylinder(least likley) or the slave cylinder (most likley) usually they can be rebuilt, autozone sells kits for them they cost like 15$ but u have to bleed the system. which is just like bleeding a brake. i would start there since thats alot cheaper than getting the clutch replaced, but if that doesent fix it then its definatly the pressure plate.

similar prob happen to me like last week, most likely its the cylinders, at times if it dont work, try pumping the clucth to try to rebuild pressure, in my case it worked...

check the slave cylinder by squeezing the little black boot on it and seeing if grease comes out. Good slave wont do that check your master by getting a flashlight and looking under the dash where the clutch pedal connects to the plunger on the master, check to see if there is fluid leaking out of the area where the rod goes into the cylinder. my slave just recently went out on me but it was a snap to replace.

WRONG

jesus christ the same thing happened to me not months ago. Leaky Master/slave clutch cylinder. buy the parts online and get them installed... its a bit expensive, but it needs to be done.

Also, my mechanics told me I was only leaking out of the slave, but I replaced both just incase... you dont want 1 part going bad, replacing it, then the other going soon after it.

wtf ive never experienced that before. the pedal always came back up (though it went down just as fast when I pushed it - no pressure).

that happened to me with my eclipse....When you replace the master slave cylinder, make sure you replace the slave also at the same time or else one or the other will fail.......feel the floor by where your clutch pedal is and see if its wet, if it is then ur master cylinder went out.
