doing my big tune up tomorrow, everything from oil/plugs/wires/dist cap/ dist rotor/intake etc... Need to know about the Castrol Syntec Blend Oil... My father said a man at his work mixed syntec blend with regular,because he didnt get all the old stuff out... and it fried his motor I already bought the shit, but if this is gonna happen then ill trash it... anyone have this problem? Thanks for any input.

well man all i can say to you is i just changed mine to mobil 1 synthetic and wow! anyways when you jack your car up do it only in the front and jack that thing up as far as it can go. reason being the oil pan nut is pointing towards the back so if you jack the front up a hell of alot you will easly be sure and get at least 95% of the oil out. let it drain for about 20 minutes if you are scared. And no offince the dad but, older people get scared of all this new age stuff so just smile and nod towards him and he will happy!

 

while i'm at it with the stupid sounding fucking dumb quetions... heres another... anyone hear about fuel injector cleaner being bad for the car?

 

First of all it all depends. i recomend just going to CHEVRON the olny good gas out there. If you ever notice that sign they always have posted up call " techron" all that is , is fuel injector cleaner, shells got the "v - power" which is about the same but you have to get the 92 octane for that crap. if you get a bottle of that fuel injector cleaner do it but make sure you read the directions and put it in when your take is bareboned w/ gas and then fill that tank up at least 75% of the way. Oh ya and dont buy that bs octane booster either, STUPID IT IS! unless you got a turbo and a for some reason dont want to pay the $3.00 a gallon for the 92 octane. anyways moral is follow directions and dont get the stuff w/ octane booster in it!

 

you know down here in hawaii damn 92 is 2.82 just for chevron gas!!!! so i remember when filling up a 18 gal tank used to be 20$ flat

 

holy shit 18 gal for 20. i filled up the other day for like 35-40 bucks it was 2.90 a gallon.

 

20$ for 18 gal was back when i was 9 before the gas spike
