it's your stock amp, you either have to bypass it or trigger the amp

Best bet is to wire all the speakers to your new headunit. or you could get a trigger like Chris said.

just use the "power antenna/amp turn on" and use it to connect to the stock amp turn on. or bypass the speaker wires from your stock amp, just go straight from the input to the output.

Could swap the front speakers to try and eliminate the speaker being bad?

Well, if it's just 1 speaker, and it worked before, something is off with the wiring, or one of the wires isn't making contact perhaps it came loose after you taped it up?

do you have stock speakers? one of mine blew when i swapped my head unit. remember there 10+ year old speakers.. and not the best quality. after checking the wiring, keep in mind its very possibly you could have a blown speaker.

The cones are paper, and can blow very easily after putting in a new hu, but if you're getting no sound, I would bet the wiring is incomplete
