Hi everyone, this is my first post. I would like some suggestions for first mods to do on an Acura CL. I'm trying to help out my cousin, I don't actually have this car, I have a '95 camaro Z28 which i've been working on and I'm not too familiar with his car. Anyways, i believe his car is a '97. I'm assuming cold air induction and exhaust would be good to start off with, but any suggestions other than that? And what brands should i tell him to look for? Also what are modified CL's capable of? I don't want to help him out so much that he'll be able to smoke me!!! thanks for your help!

 

well, first off welcome...
mods for the CLs are minimal and very inexpensive... most mods will actually come from your creativeness & imagination...
simple mods: clear corner lights, shaving emblems, air intake - short ram available, AEM CAI off of Accord(2.5") or custom fit 2001CL-S AEM CAI(3")... tints, system, fogs, grill, suspension - springs, shocks, sway bars, tires rims, brakes, exhaust and headers... Those are all the parts to buy... the rest is up to you...

How are the sways on your car? Did you notice a big difference?

What were they originally made for..ie: accord 94-97 or accord 98-00?

I Have been searching for a good set of sways for a while now but couldn't find anything.


Oh to add to the list...after you get most of the mods down, you can always get the Apexi Vafc or venom controllers.

Also you can opt for...now I can't really remember the name of it..oh yeah I think the PROgram. It adds a lot of low end and some top..I will try and find a link for you.
