Need advise on buying a 99 3.0 CL
Guys, newbie here. I'm seriously considering buying a 99 3.0 CL with 37k original miles on it. The car is very clean but I'm concerned over trans problems I've noticed on a number of threads on this board.
I'd like some advise or suggestions on purchasing this car. I need to get something dependable as I travel close to 100 miles each day. I can not afford to spend all my money buying the car only to have to replace the trans (did that on my last car!).
Any advise, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
thanks.

drive it around, make sure it shifts properly, and doesnt stick on any of the gears.
Because after the tranny, the rest of the CL is a beautiful car. You'll love it in a heart beat.
Do you plan on using the car aggressively or more for leisure?

and if you are traveling 100 miles a day, I would assume you are puttin on highway miles. If that's the case, I wouldn't worry about the tranny.

Thanks to all for the info. I would be driving it more for leisure, and the price is 10K. That includes a 3 month warranty.
Would you guys recommend it would be worth having the trans fluid changed right after picking it up? Figure that way if something does show up it would be under the warranty.
