Need Advice Guys

hey guys, stuck in a hard place, I am trying to decide wheither or not to buy a replacement CL. Right now I have a 97 CL 3.0 with 146,000 miles. The other day I happened upon another 97 3.0 with 60,000 miles, If I can get it for $8,000 do you think its worth it for a CL with less miles and in better shape? Or should I just stick with what I got for 2 more years? I know Hondas are known for their reliability, Im just worried about how much longer my 2nd tranny is gonna last. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks

bring the price down on the 2nd 97, and make sure that its in good mechanical shape + no blemishes on the body... how much you think you can get for your current CL?

Bring the price down to at least 7, sell your old CL, and start over with 60K

I nursed the first tranny to 126,000 miles, and it went , D4 flashy and everything without warning.

The CL black, and in near perfect condition, cept for a small chip between the hood and grill, other than that its been garage kept.
And as for my car, idk, I could get maybe 4 or 5 grand, the leather has started ripping on the side bolster of the driver side and I have a 3 foot long key mark down the side... I havnt been able to find a paint shop to fix it for less than 700

Ive fallen in Love with the CL, after 3 years with it, I cant imagine driving anything else.

I have a keymark too and a bunch of scratches and rock chips to boot. Not to mention a hanging bumper. lol.

I do agree with you though.. everytime I think about driving another car, I cant stop thinking about how bad I'd feel selling my CL or trading my CL in (even if it was for a 2nd gen, which is my NEXT car)

You say that till you drive one , and then you'll forget all about your 1st Gen.

I did drive one, I owned a 01 CL with Navi for a little over a year, sold it
I stand with my opinion that the 2nd gen is kinda boaty, ie 3500 lbs waaay too much for my tastes.
Im not hating on the 2nd gen, its a great car, but for now, Im a first gen fan all the way
