My Unimpressive Dyno #'s

I went to a shop today to test out my ZEX 55 shot. These are my numbers..
Without ZEX...HP-121.4 Torque-121.8
With ZEX...HP-152.8 Torqe-156.0

Well, I guess I was expecting more...

A couple of things I need to get are a bottle warmer and a pressure gauge. In most tests that I have seen, the warmer builds more pressure in the tank and gives more power.

Well, that is next. Sears Point opens their Wednesday night drags on the 14th. So, hopefully I will see soon.

If I was out on the east coast, I could roll with the rest of the first gens on the 12th...

Bummer that you're disappointed!

Are you moving up to a 65- or 75-shot?

31.4 HP gain isn't too shabby! And that torque increase (34.2 ft/lbs) should really help lower your ETs!

Good luck with your track runs!

Is your car an auto or a 5 speed? If it a 5 speed, than those number are quite discouraging to me.

I have an auto. As far as changing to the 65 or 75 shot.. I am thinking about it. The car goes pretty good with the 55 as is so, I don't know right now.

Not too bad considering automatic tranny kills alot of your power. Good luck at the track but deffinately take off those 18's they'll slow you down alot. By the way was the dyno with the 18's?

Yes, it was with the 18's on. I have my stocks still and probably will put them on at the track. Or, I have some 14" steel Accord wheels.

It really doesnt matter if you have a manual or not Chance are w/ 152 hp you will barely be breaking into the 15's.

Right!

Our 3.0 is probably getting 160 HP to the wheels, and our "best" runs ranged from 15.5-15.8.

If I remember right, fastvtecCL's car was dyno'd at around 178HP to the wheels when he dipped into the 14's, I think 14.7. That was before he had an exhaust and go go juice.

I'll just have to find out what the car will do at the track. It would be more fun if more CL's rolled up there too.

I believe CLtype-R or vtec-CL hit 15.7 in his 5 speed.
