My seatbelt hangup id driving me crazy.........

I was wondering if I was the only one here that has this seatbelt hangup.

It's where the seatbelt gets hung up on the lever on the drivers seat (98 3.0) that allows you to let people in the back seat. It won't let me put my #$%&"n seatbelt on without reacing back and feeding the belt through the thin space between the door and the lever. The damn belt ALWAYS fall behing this lever when the door opens and my seatbelt is off. Then I close the door and the fun begins!

I'm about to go ape$hit with this. It's every time. I've already bent the lever forward a little out of anger, and if it breaks off I could care less. I want to get a F'n hacksaw and cut the #$&^%*& thing off (Alright, I gota calm down here).

Anyway, does anyone have a fix for this? I don't want to mess up the electronic mechanism that slides the seat forward and back, if there is a swith that may be affected by me shortining the lever. I also dont want to make it look like crap by doing somtning stupid.

I need to lay off the caffine!

Mine does this too. Everyonce in awhile I put the seat in a different position and it goes away.

I usually end up opening the door to put the belt on when it happens.

Get used to it. It'll happen on both sides of the car. Once I got my seatbelt pads on I think it holds the belt a little bit away from the lever so it doesn't happen as much.

I guess I'll put my seat belt pads on (they've been in my trunk for 9 months)! I get the same hang-up with the seat belt/lever thingy.

Yes, that is exactly what happens to me EVERYTIME i want to put my seatbelt on.. which is not the case. I know its not good to not wear seatbelt, but this frustration, apeshit, ha ha, is preciselythe reason why i don't bother to wear it !!! it is super frustrating, and the guy in car next to you are probably laughing, ha, this guy can't even find his freaking seatbelt, and he sits in his Akula.. ok, acura.
