last night i traded exhausts with H22Euro-R's brother. he has the GReddy EVO-II on his Accord. which is a louder exhaust than my GReddy Sp2. here are some crappy pics and a video. i'll try and get another video of me driving.

i think i finally found the sound i have been looking for. unforunately i dont like the way the EVO looks. o well.

hard to judge the exhaust by pointless revving. sounds ricey that way. hook up some driving, acceleration vids. the canister doesnt look bad either. good setup

 

am I the only one noticing that red parking boot/wheel clamp thing???

that alpha lock is very important for my cars survival.

The alpha lock makes it wayyy harder for that to happen.

Matt the exhaust looks good. I'd like to hear the sound of it while u drive though. Love the grenade sticker too lol.

yeah i put that thing on my car all the time. while at work, gym, school, home, bad hoods, whenever. its a good investment.

 

my friend just got his greddy evo ii put on his celica, its a nice exhaust. the opening is big but its not a loud exhaust except in lift. i like it, but too bad yours isn't new and shiny.

 

ill make it shiny. just like my SP2 always was.

 

Sounds great, x100 on the "wanting to hear it run, not rev". I think it placed the verdict on me getting an EVO2...it was either that or custom.

 

well it might not be as loud on a CL with a cat.

my exhaust setup is header into a modified flex pipe right into teh exhaust.

if i bought an exhaust it is 650 for a catback exhaust is that how it would sound?

 

bro had a Celica too, he dropped in a TRD kit, and I gotta say that damn thing sounded NICE

 

depends on the catback you get, youre gonna get different results depending on what brand and series you get, I mean a Tanabe Medalion wont sound like a HKS Hi-power, its just one of those things........ best thing you can do is search for soundclips on Youtube or something

 

yah i dont want my 4cyl sounding like a weedeater.

 

youre pretty safe against that, the ones that are prone to that arethe smaller motors, our larger motors produce a deeper sound on their own, itll befine unless you open it up way too much

 

nah man trust me with the right exhaust, you can make any 4cyl sound really raspy with alot of drone (aka weedwacker)

i can make my fathers 03 Accord 4cyl sound like that, if i wanted too.

ha it nots that easy. ill blow my motor before i run a 13 flat. you cant just turbo H22's without the lower the compression.

 

I'm in Holland Michigan, Baby boost and a good tune. Will get ya goin What is the compression on those engines? At a little over 9.5 I'm shootin for 9lbs. If she blows we'll build ya a better one.

 

We'll use the one I pulled of a Kenworth it's about as big as your engine thats in that car H22 + SAFARI SNAIL= BIG POWER I think I likethat equation but it's all up to you

 

Oh, Located West Olive MI, D's Autotech and Transpeed. We do have that same turbo off a Kenworth on a 97 Mustang got it in the Eights.. I'll get a pic up if I have those cd's here at the house..

 

I have the evo2 and dc header and aem CAI and i made sure it didn't sound rice at all. because i came from driving boosted euros, i hate rice. once i get a video camera i'll be makin vids

eh i wanted to switch it up a little bit. i wanna make my presence known when i roll up on the scene. i might go back to it. im close with H22Euro-R and his brother, so switching exhausts if i want wont be a problem.

for me its like why have a exhaust if you cant hear it.

its the same 2.36 (not a typo) piping so, it feels the same as the power i gained when i had a larger flex pipe welded onto my DC header.

 

It's hard 2 find a lot of aftermarket parts for my 97 CL, it seems like everybody has parts for only the 2000's CL's. Where is a good place to find stuff 4 my car?

 

Im especially looking for cat back exhausts and intakes.
