Don't take the mudflaps off, just paint them the same color of the car.
You might also want to start saving up to drop the car.

BTW - The car looks gorgeous. Congrats!

Thanks! Well actually, I don't want to drop the car, but I would like to firm up the suspension a bit. Can you suggest brand/model of strut/springs that would do the trick, with affecting how the car sits? Or, is a new set of OEM's OK... I just want a firmer, tighter ride, without turing it into a really hard ride.

kyb gr-2 struts are 10-15% stiffer than stock.. obviously you can use those with a stock spring

How long do factory springs hold up? Mine's a '99... I don't think this car was ever beat on. In fact I know it was serviced like clockwork. Would I be good to go just with new struts?

they will last as long as the car is alive. the struts usually eventually go. but u wont need those if u drop it. if your against droppin it just do a subtle drop 1.25" or so. itll look tons better. mines dropped 1.25" .. comme on man everyones doin it.

i'm going to drop mine as soon as i can get the money up and i also need new struts. i have a 98 3.0CL black on black and right now it's stock. first thing to do is a drop and like others i'm only going for a 1.25-1.5 drop. but first i 'm going to save up and get everything at my house including an intake, headers, socks, struts, and springs and do it all in one weekend. then i'm going to get tires and rims. good luck with it. they are great cars.

and btw is that the first tranny and if it is and i was u i would get the lucus transmission stop slip because it will lube the tranny better and the tranny will shift a lot smoother. just a little insurance policy.

He's 48 years old...I don't think he likes that kinda stuff. Although...I knew a 53 year old guy that had a 99 Prelude SH that he bought an exhaust for and wanted to take his car to the track.

Anyways, nice car. Makes me want a 3.0.

Yeah, I'm not quite into big mods, but I think I'll be tintng the windows. I like being subtle, then hitting the gas and letting the car speak for itself.
