It measures air to fuel ratio per rpm similar to a dyno.
Much better than the air to fuel gauges that are out there....theyre not fast enough to be accurate (like my apexi turbo timer O2 a/f readout)

Got it here.
I had to have one bung welded on my downpipe already for $20...this is just another bung.
Way expensive....$750, but thats 5 hours or so of dyno tuning....with the AEM EMS I'm wanting it'll be a wash for tuning it.
Rumor has it that new EMS will have auto tuning with wideband O2 sensors.

just wondering why you choose AEM over others like sds or hondata??

The cost of Hondata 4B+ datalogging + converting to OBDI + new ECU is if not the same more than the AEM EMS.
With hondata you have to burn roms everytime you change your map....no thanks. AEM EMS is plug and play....no wiring nightmares.
The ONLY thing I've heard that the EMS cant do is function as a turbo timer.
It will control boost that Hondata wont. Can you imagine varying boost pressure based on speed? Traction!

i just got off the phone with AEM about the ems and the new system is called the race system and it's identical to the one out now but doesn't come with a harness, it has to be spliced from factory harness.
am i missing something?? when i do the h22 swap, will i be able to use the ems direct plug and play?? will the wires be the same?
the tech didn't have a clue??

You should be able to use the EMS for the H22 which is the same part number as the F22 if I remember correctly.
Dont get the race system. Get the plug and play.
