My Idle is out of control
my idle saga began in the summer of 05 when every now and then my idle would drop then surge then drop again, it didnt happen to much so i over looked it, then in the end of the winter it would get really bad and would happen on a daily basis. so i finally did something about it and me and arber (supraman) cleaned out my IAC, then the problem went away for about 4 months. then it came back. not to mention this makes my car sound like shit because my heatshield around my cat and my exhaust rattles like a mother fucker especially with the A/C is on and when i got my Greddy exhaust. its really embarrasing when im just sitting some where idling, every other jerk off is like dude whats up with your car. obviously if i just take out the heat shield all the rattling will go away. but i cant figure out WTF is going on with my idle. i doubt its all clogged up again and if it is that would really suck. maybe i need to replace the IAC. so any of your opinions would be appreciated, im also gonna check in with the genius' at honda-tech. thanks

ooo and i forgot. i just put on my magnecor wires i ordered off ebay for an Accord and my idle tends to be worse now. could that be because im running with conventional spark plugs, do i need iridium's???
Also clean the inner throttle body and throttle plate (front and back) carefully. Depending on how the IAC was cleaned it may have clogged again. You have to remove and really flush the cavity w/ throttle body cleaner a number of times to get all the gunk removed. It could be faulty so check the solenoid driver to see if it's open.
good luck
good luck
I had the exact same shit going on in my car. Surging idle, and every dumb-ass kid thinking I was trying to race them at a light. I tried to clean it first also and it didnt do much. I had to replace the IAC altogether, which was easy since I had bought an extended warranty with the car. I'm fairly sure that is your problem/ solution.
