Must See!! Gsr Killed Viper

oh well.. atleast it did beat the viper.. may not that impressive.. but how many times can you see a teg beat a viper?? if our CL's can beat a viper in 12s.. will u be impressed?

I think that guy didn't know how to drive the Viper. Older stock Vipers (the same one in video) on stock tires do around mid 12's. The problem with Vipers is that have so much torque, that traction is a real problem. Stick on some soft racing tires, the car could probably do flat 12 or so. The Hennessy Vipers do like mid 10's.

It looked like the Viper missed second. ? He started pulling on the teg hard when the guy was like yeahhhh,, noooooo" but it either missed second, or starteed spinning hard when he shifted. Cool vid tho

When driven correctly, the Viper would have beaten that Teg's ET. Still, nice to see an Acura hit the 12's. 
Hell, I've beaten a Saleen Mustang (281 w/Supercharger) and a 427 Vette in my CL (I have the timeslips to prove it). However, I wouldn't have, if they could only drive!

I went down to Carlsbad for one day and there were about a dozen vipers there. A few were running 14's

I'd be impressed if a CL ran 12's. I wouldn't be impressed if it beat a viper that also ran 12's when I know vipers are very capable of very low 12's high 11's stock

More like embarrassing for that guy who didn't know how to drive the viper.
Hell, I've beaten Mustangs GTs...in my practically stock CL. Is it impressive? Nope. More like funny. It just meant that fool didn't know how to drive his Mustang.

The 95 had like 215 hp...less than it's predecessor and it weighed more to boot. I think it was in 97 or 98 that they switched to a 4.6L engine with more hp. But anyhows, a stock 95 with a stick ought to do mid to late 14's (depending on factory optional axle ratio).

just to let you know guys.. DID I FORGET TO MENTION THAT THE WHITE TEG HAS 400 HP??? Yup.. that's correct that white teg has 400 HP... and weighs less than the viper.. don't know how much.. but yah.. I guess the driver of the viper does not know how to drive..

if that teg has 400 HP he should be running A LOT faster then high 12's. A LOT FASTER and it looked like he hooked up well. I mean hell the CL-S turbo guys hit those times w/ less power and the CL is a LOT heavier

btw, just for reference there are MANY MANY tegs out there putting down about 240 to the wheels in 12's. This car does NOT have 400 HP, unless the guy can't drive for shit.
