MPG on Lowered cars??

Whatsup everyone, i just lowered my car about 3 weeks ago and immediately i noticed a chage in my MPG....I used to hit a good 320 per tank and now im at 285 average. Is this normal? i know the rims (18") make a difference but that much?.....any one have this same problem??

more rubber on the ground the more friction... the more gas needed to keep your car at a constant speed or accelerate.

My mileage went down a little but not that much. It usually depends on your driving habits. If your a lead foot one week, and the next week a granny driver, the mileage will change.

i have a 2.3 with 18's and i am hitting about 370+ around town plus i got all the hills in utah and on the highway i get great mileage 440+ depending if i feel like going fast. I turned my throttle cable down and use my cruise control alot plus the intake full catback exhaust, 8.8 mm wires and new plugs im getting great mileage good thing since gas is bullshit thesedays

I have 19's and a drop and with normal driving there is no change in mpg. But with the car lower to the ground and wider tires i drive it like its stolen and it gets shit for gas mileage. I have a 2.2 with a 5sp though.
