more power
ok i was at a red light in the middle lane with an olds auroa and a 99? monte carlo( not the newer ones but the V6 that looks simular to the luminas) on both sides. They were picking on me so i was like What da hell lets run em. we took off and he beats me by a car lengh maybe 2 when i got to 2 gear and it got much worst. he started to pull away leaving me behind. Both those guys hung with each other( same engine in both cars).!!!!
so i need more power to my engine....what else can i do that the most HP for the money besides swap and laughing gas?????
cam gear worth it? pulleys make a diff? or how about venom?? any of these makes noticeable increases in the "butt dyno"?

it is funny to get beat by a auroa but it is a 3.8 v6 if im not mistaking and the monte carlo is at least a 3.1. i dont want to knok a few sec off just want to have more pull at top end. If i get beat by a stock civic that will be funnier. ( a USDM one SOHC).

Another thing that would help would be running a lighter wheel. I know, I have the same wheels you do. I could tell the difference when I switched up from my 17's.

well, you can get a better flowing cat, or just replace it with a piece of pipe!!
Give an MSD Blaster 2 Coil and a MSD Distributor a shot... I have them on my accord and they definatly gave the car a good little kick in the ass.

re: More Power
Unfortunately, you only have a couple options that will produce a SIGNIFICANT horesepower increase. These horsepower increasing options are as folows:
Turbo Kit: DRAG Turbo makes a kit for the 94 - 97 Honda Accord that will work with the 2.2 CL, so it should work with your 2.3 as well. Bear in mind that Turbos are hard on an engine, especially if you live in a hot climate. Turn key cost; about $4k.
Blower: Area 51 Fabrications of Ca. could probably do a custom supercharger setup for you (they would probably use a Vortech centrifugal unit). This would include custom plumbing, ECU customization by Hondata of Ca. (customized timing and fuel mapping) Turn key cost: $5k + they would need to keep your car for at least a month. The blower is by far the best solution if you're interested in engine longevity.
ZEX Nitrous Oxide Kit: Several different horsepower increase options available. This is not a recommended option unless you have swapped your cast pistons for forged pistons. Cast (stock)pistons are too brittle for the bodatious bang produced by nitrous.

thanks for the specs dust.!!!
Tom: thanks for the re cap on turbo and superchargers ( i dont plan on doing neither) but thanks for the price comparisons.
i actually dont feel that bad bein beat by the auroa since its has so much power( actually should of beat me worst than in had. I think i did pretty well since he was a car lengh away at 60mph and about 2 car lenghs away at 80+mph,
