Mind Boggling.
So after searching the boards for a good hour I have no idea why my alarm doesnt chirp. I did the lock and trunk release thing....the remote led blinked twice but still nothing. And yes i did this when the car was in the "programming mode or whatever you want to call it" . Any other ideas on what could be the problem?
Thanks
Thanks

Need a new battery for your remote? It's controlled from it

what "programming mode"? the programming mode is only needed to program certain remotes to work for your car. To turn on the chirp, you just hold down the trunk/lock buttons with the car off, no special programming mode..

Well....The remote battery is new. The remote controls everything fine. It unlocks locks and the trunk opens. When i hit panic the lights flash, but there is no noise, just flashes. And i tried doing the lock + trunk release when the car was just off, nothing. My guess is the connection between the alarm and the horn is broke? anyone?

find the siren under your hood and look at the connections they are prolly corroded, if they are just run to jumper wires from the battery to the siren to see if it makes noise, if it does then clean up the connections and try again. if not off to the junkyard for a new siren

Yeah, it is your siren, when you hit pannic, that shit should have sounded off. As for the LED on the remote, if it flashed twice, you turned off the chirp. Pushing the trunk and lock buttons is like a toggle. Do it once and it turns it off (LED flashes twice), do it again, and it turns the chirp on... (LED flahes once). So, you turned off your chirp when you saw the LED flash twice, and if the pannic did not sound the siren, your siren is disconnected or has gone bad.
Good luck.

Oh, one other test of the siren,
Press the LOCK button with your door open. The siren should chirp three (3) times. If it does not, check you siren connections and check that the fuses are all good. I think the siren may be fused, but I am not sure about that.

It may be that the servo for your passenger door is sticking. Does it make any noise? Does the LED iluminate on the remote every time you push it?
If the lock is making noise, the actuator for the passenger door may be bad.
If it is not, the actuator could be bad or intermittently connected.
TEST this by using the manual powered lock/unlock switch. If your passenger door will unlock using the switch, then the problem is with your remote.
If it won't react to the switch, then the actuator is bad or not getting signal to lock/unlock.
Good luck.

It locks fine both driver a passenger side, but when the driver side is unlock already and i press it again to unlock the pessenger (with the remote) i hear the locks go off, but the passenger side still remains locked. Do you think it's probably the battery is dying? If it is it would be pretty strange since changed it about 3months ago.
