Megan Headers Question?????

i have a 99 3.0 cl, i have v2 intake and recently put in megan headers on my car off ebay.
they look thin but i dont know if there suppose to look like that, well anyways i didnt notice shit for performance. thay said for up to 40 hp, but i felt more horsepower off the v2. the only good thing is that it makes a turbo sound at certain RPMs.

does anyone have megan headers on there car and noticed a signifcant gain and do i need a complete exhaust in order to notice it (high flow cat, muffler, if so what should i get?) because i noticed crap.

so the megan headers on ebay fits the CL directly.. no modification needed?
i was planning to get headers too.. but i guess it depends on this thread now..

i put megan headers on my 3.0 about a month ago, and i am pleased w/thier performance in the higher rpm's. the only other mods i have are an short intake and i replaced the cat w/a race pipe. the hp gain is nowhere near 40 though, i'd say gut check of around 10-15hp. i really believe that a full exhaust would help more.

Did your megan headers fit right on, or did they have to bend the downpipe? I know one kid had a problem with his megans. How much was it to get installed?

They shouldnt look "thin" if they are any thinner then your stock headers you might not have gotten megan headers. Also headers should give you a very noticable increase in power. I dont know the exact number of horsepower for the 3.0cl but for the 3.2cl-s its liek 35 hp gain. Post a picture of the headers so we can get a look at them.

How do you reset the ECU. I installed an AEM intake and was wonder if I needed to reset my ECU. Won't the ECU "learn" the new mods and adapt?

i never resetted my ecu, i will do that and post back and i will try to take a picture of the headers and post it

im pretty sure that these are megan's because it has megan racing welded on the two headers

the headers are from a 98-02 honda accord and the do bolt on exactly but i had to bend the the downpipe a little becacause it was pushing the cat against the inner shiel causing a rubbing sound

i installed the headers myself w/no bending necessary, although i did replace my cat w/a straight pipe. the only trouble i encountered was the wires for the 02 sensor was too short, but that was an easy fix. install probably took around 2 hours
