I know that the CL 3.0 did not have the option for the manual transmission. Did the accord??? IS there any tranny that will bolt onto the j30a1??? Please help me, i hate driving an automatic.

 

i have heard ov people doing a swap .so i know it can be done i just dont know how

The 6 speed tranny will go in with some modifications. I know that hoffhiness did the swap, but it ended up costing him a couple of thousand dollars, maybe more. Personally I don't know if it is worth it unless you are trying to do major mods like he was.

 

It's costly, but you can put in the 6-speed from the CL-S.

The new Generation Accord Coupe V-6 now has a 6-speed that bolts onto the j30.

Yes the 6speed should work, as stated by dust. Hoffhines has done the swap. Last I remember he broke an axle. (I think) If so Hoff is it possible to swap in the cls axles??? What did you end up doing? And what exactly was needed to mate the 6spd? Oh and Dust in another post I read your planning on upgrading your axles. If so, what axles are you goin to use? Thanks for any info..

Isnt the AC 6sp, the same as the CL's 6sp?? Same tranny isnt it?

 

What about the ECU ... what has to be done with that?

 

That thought actually crossed my mind before I posted my question. I figured that if someone wanted it bad enough they could've imported them from another market (like JDM) if it were available else where.
