Major Oil Leak

I have a 97 CL 3.0 with 107,000 k and have just discovered that oil is leaking heavily between the trans and motor. I'm adding a half quart every 200 miles. The Acura dealership wants to charge for 6 hrs. labor to pull transmission to investigate where the leak is occuring. The guess is that it may be the rear main seal but they can't promise. They can't even gaurantee that they can pin point the exact problem. Seems that this problem may be costly so I'm contemplating calling it quits with the CL. Has anybody else out there had this problem?

call around and get the best price for labor if you don't want to get dirty

Also try a Honda dealer. They may be more helpful/knowledgeable/cheaper.

You may even want to try a local mechanic.

Good luck!
