my little maintenance required light went from green to yellow today... what does that mean?? i have 54,400 miles on the whip... is this bad? another question... i bought my CL at a lexus dealership, should i take it there to be serviced or to the local acura dearleship. i bought a warranty for the car when i got it in february, but i'm almost positive the warranty is good no matter where i get the car serviced.

 

wait im confused mine is always yellow? i thought its suppose to be yellow?

What the hell? What freakin color is it suppose to be mine is whitish/yellow in the box, no light? during the day its whitish/yellow and and night no light.

 

Ummm...that "light" is a Maintenance Required Indicator. It goes from green to yellow every 7,500 miles. You're supposed to refer to your manual to see what the recommended scheduled maintenance is required. Unless its the major 30, 60, 90 thousand mile marker, you shouldn't worry bout it too much.

Just insert your key in the little slot between the two gauges and it'll reset it to green.

but my friend/mechanic threw on new plugs,spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor cap

buts its yellow

 

Thats because you have to reset it by putting your key into that slot.

that was ez enuff... i never knew what that was there for!
