The thin metal wires in between the cloth like material is attached to the harness and plug which is sewed in and wrapped around the cloth. I'd have to cut it out in order to take out the thin metal wires, which hence would mean you'd have to do the same. When I saw that, I figured it would result in two things:
A. Send out the whole thing with the bottom leather seat.
B. You can always sew (did I spell that right?) it back together when you cut yours out.

The big metal wires/elements for the butt can also be removed. But I just wanted to show you what it took to remove it just so that you can see it. It's held on by those metal clips that wrap around it. You can just bend those back and pull out the metal wires/elements.

In your first picture - the motor at the very top right - how was this working when you used your seat last? Is it easily removable if in good condition. Mine smokes when the seat moved forward.
Those large squigglies in your second to last picture i think just hold up the seat. I see the heating pad. but what are these?

It took about 30 screws/bolts to take this seat apart. It was def a pain.
Anyways, as far as the cylinder motors, did you want both? I have to look at it again to see how they come off. I forgot to take pictures of an angle where you can see how they are connected to the rails.

As for the motor that moves the seat, like I said, it was working fine except for the fact that when it gets moved further back at a certain point, it got slower. But it moved to the back regardless. You can have the part at no cost since I'm uncertain that you'd be satisfied with it.

Wait, if the larger metal wires are to hold up the seat, then the ones for the butt section just do the same. If this is the case, then the smaller squiggly lines are what heat up the seat, probably why they are wrapped in that cloth to keep seperated from everything else.

Again, the smaller squiggly lines are connected to the harness with a plug. So those have to heat up. As for the larger ones, those def are not connected to any plug nor the harness. For some reason I just thought those bigger ones conducted a flow of eletricity somehow, but never thought to think of them as just supports for our weight.

alright i'll take that motor part and the lower seating heating element. Is it possible to get that thing out with out cutting anything at all? No wonder this is a 1000 repair from the dealer i think. I'll get back online tonight when i'm off from work also.

Okay, I just looked at it just now. The whitish cloth that holds the wires in place is just being held by the same thing that holds tags on clothing. Do you know what I'm talking about by chance? That little plastic piece that goes through the tag usually on the shirt where it says its size.
So, I guess you could staple it back together, or find another way to clip it back together. As for the harness/plug that goes through the cloth, the cloth itself is actually glue and wrapped around the harness. So what I could do is ship out the cloth together with the wires/harness/plug, and you could decide on how you want to go about replacing what.
As far as I know, anything from this seat is yours for the same price. All I need to know is what you want shipped, and what you want me to pull off or not touch. That I'm leaving totally up to you.

I appreciate your flexability. I doubt i'll need any harnesses since my seat already has headed seats installed. Does that bottom element connect cleanly to the harness? If thats the case i'll take the pad and the motor so we aren't shipping a 50 lb box. What are your though.

As far as the harness goes, you want me to take off the heater relay and hand you that as well, just in case. And as for the motor, we're talking about the one that moves the seat back and forth correct? Did you need the other two cylinder motors as well? I'm not sure what they do to tell you the truth.
Btw, what I'll do with the wires is roll them up in the same cloth they are in, that way I don't bend any of the wires. So based on the box I'll use, we can stuff in anything else you need. I highly doubt they will add much weight to change the shipping costs that much. That's why I wanted to give you the harness as well, in case that was your original problem with your heating. Are you sure it's the elements that went bad?

I only need the motor that moves the seat backwards and forwards, its the one closest to the front of the seat. Does that come out easily or is that a royal pain in the ass also.

As far as price, I dont see it going over 10-12 bucks. This is light as hell. The only thing that would put it around 10-12 bucks is the size of the box. Just be sure to send me your full info so that I can send it out tomorrow morning before work.

HAHA i just looked at the heating pad you sent me, the wires were EVERY where, you were right. I borrowed the girlfriends hands and taped them back. I managed to get the pad put back under the leather, and its all put back together. Leather pulled nice and tight, which was a concern for mine. It wasn't easy and your right, there are tons of parts down there. I took pictures to do a DIY, but this really isn't a DIY the more i look at it, nothing a guide would be useful for, but we'll see, now back to the motor you sent me.
How did you get that part off....did you have to use a TORX bit to get them off?

I got the heated seat lower pad to work, but i messed up the motor trying to replace it with yours - i think i'm FUCKED.....the seat wont more forward or backwards anymore.

That motor, actually once I took the bolts off, it was kind of stuck in place. I couldnt figure out how to take it off without force. And then all of a sudden, when I was moving my hands to tilt it one way to look at it, it just came right off.
As for the seat not wanting to move at all anymore, was it the old motor or the new motor that got messed up? Did you change the motors, or could you not firgure out how to do it?

i couldnt' figure out how to change motors so i started taking mine off and i losened the black rod on mine and i think it pop something out of place. Currently the old one is on there. I accidently took yours apart and i'm going to try and put it back together at work today.
Did you take off those TORX bolts to get it loose at least?

The heating pad was all pulled apart, you were right, i had to tape the wires back down. It was even harder to get it back under the leather and then getting the leather back on nice and tight.
