low mile CL or a high mile CL
Looking at a 1998 75 000 mile CL 3.0 at $9000 or should I look for a lower mile 3.0CL
25 000 mile 1998 3.0CL at a price of $12 000
What should I do the higher mileage CL may need a timeing belt and waterpump buying it privately, while the lower milelage CL is a dealer car.

If the service records are present at 75000 miles and it shows good service, It would be ok to buy it. Thats a good price from the dealer for the 25k mile one tho. Hard decision man the dealer one mite be the way to go.

Well everyone the low mileage car is sold.
I guess I missed out.
It leaves me with the 98 black on black 3.0CL with blue fog lights and tinted windows at $9000 US 75 000 miles.
Anyone have tips on negotiating this private sale down. I think the price is a little high with no timing belt or waterpump done. I guess the new Mich tires helps. This car was on sale for a month than lowered the price to about the cost of the timing belt and waterpump replacement.
I figure if I buy this car I will be spending every month this year at the garage fixing this car to presentable condition such as;
1 Intermediate exhaust pipe
2 Oil pan gasket
3 Brake pads and rotors
4 Timing belt & waterpump
5 AC
6 Drive Shaft
7 Alignment
8 Ball Joint
9 Various electrical problems (ie; relay solenoid)
Thanks

I bought mine 99 2.3 5 speed with 72k for 12k in may of 2003.
so that isn't a bad deal really. No timing belt done or anything... isn't that scheduled for 95k or 105k or something anyway?

i have had my car since it was new and it now has 240k miles and no real problems. Window reg, two timing belts, oil changes, and various other little things. These cars are champs save yourself some dough and get a higher mileage one.
