ive heard that its on the throttle plate... good luck finding it. When/if you do find it, a little bit of turning goes a long way. Id like to know where it is, so pics or more details when you find it please

sure thing, I just made an appointment to get the timing belt changed and the valves adjusted so hopefully that will do it.

yeah, mine idled low before i got a tune up. after a tune up, it ran great. but if you ever really do want to adjust the idle setting, there should be a screw on the throttle plate

does the idle consistantly stay low, or does it surge to normal, then drop low????

well i was gonna say if your idle was like how i described, then you should check out and see if you IAC (Idle Air Control) is clogged.

I just dropped my car off and the mechanic was telling me that the clicking noise I heard was from the lifters. He also said 90% of hondas sound like that and not to worry until it starts to get loud. It is very faint when the hood is up now. The problem is lifters are around $28 each and you can't tell which one it is so they usually do them all at the same time, but it's over $100 a cylinder. So for now I'm just getting the timing belt changed and the cooling and transmission fluid flushed with new belts. Only $400 for all the parts and labor.

I found him on www.cartalk.com from the NPR radio show. You can put in your zip code and see ratings and reviews from other people who have had work done there. He was very highly recommended and seemed very knowledgable.

I'll let you know how it turns out when i pick the car up tomorrow.

So it turns out i don't have a bad lifter, the timing was just off thankfully. Car runs really smooth now. No more idle problems
