Looking for some stuff

Anybody know where to find a burlwood shift knob to match my interior lining? I'm going for a classy look here, haha.

and While i'm here I might as well ask. Who that has gotten sway bars has really felt that they were worth the money and have made a real positive difference?

Big ones make a difference, I got suspension techniques and I noticed a difference, the rear one makes more difference than the front

This should work, but i've never tried it. Mines from a V6 VW Passat, 5-speed w/ wood trim. I replaced one under warranty and modded the old one to fit. It match's nice with the wood trim in the CL. Here's a pic of what it looks like in the Passat. BTW, can't use a jetta knob the the reverse is in the wrong spot.

thanx to ebay for the pics

Does it really matter what the gear layout is? I'd think you could remember your tranny layout...unless you mean for purely aesthetic purposes...

What kind of modding did you have to do for the Passat shift knob, and what year and model did it come off? Thanks!!

yeah, your right, it really doesn't matter. Like you said, it's an aesthetic thing. But if you did go with the Jetta knob, everyone would know that your shift knob came from a gay Volkswagen

since the Passat knob and boot are 1 piece, you have to separate them. After that, a few small self tapping screws and a plastic tube that slides over the the lever. Install the tubing (which i got from another Volkswagen recall part), slip the knob over and screw it in. Mines been in for a little less then a year and it's holding fine . But i think i might actually switch to the RL knob.

BTW, the Passat was a 2004 V6 4-motion with the wood trim option.
