Yo...How do you do the grille like that? Hard?

I've wanted to do that for a while but I'm too sketched about my bondo work.

Nice dude. I'm really liking that red and like everyone else said...the grill is dope. Good example of what a CL should look.

And what kind of exaust is that? What's the outlet, 4.5"?

Very, very nice. Clean, sleek, and Cohesive. Like a couple of people have already asked, can you give some details on the grill.

Looks great!

I really like the projector set up, the grill, and the painted bulk head pieces.

Very cool!

Thanks for all the positive responses people Well, the grille. The grille was a 97 which had all the shit inside cut/cleared out. My body shop buddy cut everything an then filled it in with some glue that is stronger than bondo, in between some kinda tape. Painted everything to match, then bended up the black foliatech and glued it in, and instant Type R style grille.
j wong- Yep, red lettering, i thougt the same thng, nice lil touch
dennis- Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion modded from a 94-97 accord, with a 4.5" outlet.
RippinRide- Don't let Katie or FastvtecCL hear you say that:P
brian6speed- Rims were cheap as shit, so i had to buy. I love the design though, very stock looking, but look great spinning.
Lastly, I copped YBLegal's idea on the grille, so thanks for thinking abstractly, if you ever come by here anymore.
Everyone else, thanks again for the support, you guys helped me get my car to where it is today
BTW, at certain angles now, my car looks like a teg Cali Type R conversion, but more bad ass and defined

ding with ur projectors set that far back it seems u 3.0s have more room behind the headlamps. i am going to redo my setup with a6 projecotrs cuz they are bigger than my tt's. im also moving the projector inside more and using the reflector out of an a6 to make it all nice. urs r clean from the front. u got pics from behind? im wondering how u enclosed urs. im bout to glue 3" abs pipe with a screw on cap to mimic an oem setup so u can get inside thw housing when needed. i got some bi xenons i might use also. decisions decisions.

Come on guys, look at some of the past posts or my sig, and you will get what you are looking for. The HID's and Projectors are all completely custom, done by myself, and are a great touch to te car. If you are up for some custom work, and have some creativity and some skills, i guess you could do it. I only know of myself and VXCL doing it to a CL headlamp. Lots of work, but it is worth the trade off. Once again, thanks for the support guys, you make me validate all the money and days spent working on this CL. BTW, did anyone ese hear that Acura is no longer making CL's?
VXCL, i will post pics of the projectors behind the headlamps. It is not the best looking the way did it, but the are 100% watertight, and the plastics hide any work done in that area. I wanted functionality rather than looks back there, seeing as most people don't care what the back looks like. Damn, it is hard to catch the true color of the light on digi film man.
MANY THANKS TO VXCL FOR HIS PROJECTOR RETROFIT, I WOULD HAVE NEVER ATTEMPTED THIS WITHOUT HIS HELP AND ENGINUITY. Thanks again mike

no prob. so u already enclosed yours then. im still debating which projector to use. i think im ordering brand new headlamps also, cuz with my nice new paint job the worn lenses are outta place. good work though. i m still curious how much room u got behind ur headlamps vs the 2.2s and 2.3s mainly the drivers side

any need xenon parts let me know

Very nice ride man. Love everything on it. I have the same exhuast and love it. Just one thing, on your picture your exhuast seems like it's hanging pretty low. Mine sits a little higher. Anyways love the ride, and the grill

Yeah, it does sit kinda low right now. Right now i have the bolt on axle back section on, and the midpipe is being modded. When i get the midpipe all straightened out, i plan on tucking the exhuast in a little more. Good spot though, and i do love the tanabe looks and sound Strongly recomended

Yeah, it sounds great. Low and deep like you said, plus, not too many people have tanabe's. I bought tanabe because their systems are all SS and i need that due to the shitty winters around eher.
