LLUMAR CENTAUR Window Tints

I'm getting some 28% LLUMAR CENTAUR tints installed tomorrow morning on my Primrose 3.0CL, anyone have a similar setup? I'm worried it might be too dark, but the 38% definately looks too light. I'm also getting a vinyl strip installed on the top back window because I heard that the tints don't stick that well to the top part due to the ceramic. I'm getting everything done for $135US TAX included.

38% def. wont be too dark. I have 35% on my front two windows and it is really light. You can pretty much see right thru it. I have 20% on the back windows and that is def. darker but still easily seen thru most of the time Click the link in my sig for pics

not wussies, how about intelligence. If you lived in Pa and had 5% on your windows Jonny law would be all over your ass.

Sorry kinda mis read your post. I still think your would be ok with 28% tint. You might want to drop down to 20 even.

Oh about the wussies comment...5% tint looks ghetto JMO plus you cant see anything at night while backing up and stuff and it pisses the cops off when you get pulled over for something else since they cant see you or your passengers. I Dont blame them, i would want to see if someone in the car had a gun or something. Again JMO

I finally got my windows tinted... I used 38% Llumar Centaur for the sides, and 28% Llumar Centaur for the back... and let me tell you one thing, it makes a HUGE difference.

At first I wasn't sure if 38% would be dark enough (it's the lightest one they have) because on the sample, it looks pretty light with the sun shining on it, but once applied onto the windows with our factory tint, it's looks really dark.

At night, you can see the outlines of people in the car, but you can't see anything else... during the day it looks like a nice decent tint, not too dark, not too light.

One thing that I found really odd is that inside the car, the tints look really light compared to what you see from the outside, maybe it's just my imagination.

Very happy with my decision. Will post some pics.

Makes the stock CL look really good. I even had this punk in a Civic (the newer ones) try to race me. The sad thing is that although I did beat him, I didn't beat him by that much. But still, after I beat him he just stayed behind me, and at the next stop light, he simply ignored me. Probably my intake scared him off.... makes the car sound faster than it really is.

Centaur tint doesn't seem too popular. Anyone have photos?

I wasn't too interested in mirror-tint, but Centaur is often described as a smoke with minor reflective glaze.

I can take some pics of my 35% which is black "performance" tint which means it has some reflective qualities. I would def get the 37% because im guessing you wont really be able to tell you have the 53% and you will be disappointed. JMO

wow....montreal those tints are perfect dude...thats excactly what I want
I also have a primrose CL, and I've seen some with tints that dint look to good (especially 5%, those should only be reserved for ghetto 1980s Buicks) anyways I live in Toronto, do you know of any place around here that will give me those exact style tints....if not I WILL take the CL for a four hour joy ride to get them done in Montreal
Again great job 10 out of 10, get back to me

drewdiddy: I had them done for $200 (taxes included) at Tint King in Montreal, on St-Jacques street. I wanted to tint my windows ever since I got my car, but wasn't sure what type of tint to get and what percentage to choose. So it took me a while to decide on what to get. I wanted it to be dark, but not too dark as to attract unwanted attention from the cops. One thing that I find amazing with the tints that I got is that it actually looks darker looking in than looking out of the window, so when I'm in my car, the tint doesn't look as dark as it looks from the outside. Another thing that I like is that in the sunlight it has a certain reflective look to it (due to the metallic nature of the tint). The guy at the tint shop told me that most of the luxury cars that come by his place choose Lllumar Centaur, it has a nice classy look to it, nothing ghetto. And in case you're wondering, my radio reception is still perfect... Hopefully the navigation system that I will be installing soon won't have any problems picking up signals either.

I'm pretty sure you can get it done in Ontario, you just need to find a place that carries the Llumar Centaur line.

Good luck, and when you get them done, don't forget to post pics!
