Lighting problems.. HID !!!!

I had just read a thread earlier saying that D2S bulbs would work better in our first gen reflector housings, so i went out and bought some. (I had D2R before.) The bulbs are the factory ones from lexus, audi, benz etc. When i installed everything it was kinda weird. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when i started them up, they had a little tint of green in them. Are D2S bulbs suppose to have green in them? Because my D2R ones, when you start them up, they are blue then slowly turn into a nice white color. The D2S on the other hand, start up blue, but then turn white and have a small tint of green. It's very light tint and a very small portion of the light, but you can notice it. I was just wondering if its suppose to be like this.

My Bulbs :

Old D2R = Osram 4300k (either that or 4100K)
New D2S = Philips 4300k

Thanks in advance!

The glare on them is a lot less and the light output is actually a lot better. I'm actually glad i got these bulbs, but they aren't as blue as the Osram ones. It'd be nice if my Osram D2R bulbs D2S, cause the color on those were perfect. I'll post some pics either tonight or tomorrow.

Actually, when i took a closer look at it, is was on the yellow side then it was green. I don't know if it was the reflection the reflector was sending out. The bulbs actually start out really blue, and then turn white, then white/yellow. I'm not really fond of the color, but the light out is about 10x better then it was before without tons of glare. Theres still a little, but not a lot.

These bulbs are from what I hear, up to 200$ retail price. But if you look on ebay, you could probably get some for like 100$ or less a set. I got mine for 29$ each.

I honestly don't recommend and of the "HID Kits" out there. You're better off getting one of those OEM setups coming from another car like the BMW's, Lexus, etc. And if you don't want anything that's too blue, i wouldn't go higher that 5000k. Heres an example of a good kit.

Yes, thats exactly what i did. You have to cut off the old 9006 sockets and crimp those wires to it. The overall job is pretty simple. Wiring is pretty simple. The hardest part for me was to get the bulb to stay in the socket.
