lighting problems

xxx

i installed fog lights for my 1999 Acura 2.3 CL last night. Everything was fine, until later on tonight, me and my friend took our cars for a test drive, we arrived at our destination and i found that my lights were acting kind of weird. the problem was, my fog lights completely shutted off, my left headlight went out, and both of my high beams went on, but they were really, really, dim. a lot dimmer than the normal headlight itself, and the thing is, i had my highbeams off, but when i turned on my highbeams, the highbeams on the right side turns on and is as bright as normal, but now, the left side is completely off, even the headlights, except for my signal lights. and also, when i turned on the highbeam, the highbeam notification light on my dash/gauges was real dim also, it seem as it wasn`t even on. so in the end, when my highbeam is in the off position, both my highbeams are on BUT dim, and when i have my highbeam in the on position, my left one goes out, the right one goes on. and my left headlight is just off, completely gone, doesn`t turn on.

and also, i have a 1000W amp and 2 12`s installed, my amp went out today, the cooling fans still works, but the power light is out and it isn`t sending power to the subs. so my friend thought the problem was that the amp was sucking too much power to try and send power to the subs, and told me to unplug it, i did what he said, and no difference. also, my foglights were tapped into my headlight wires, my left one, the one that went off. so we took that out of the headlight wiring hoping it`ll fix something, no difference. if anyone out there that has had this problem before (i doubt) or knows what is wrong, please help, cause we are clueless of what has happened.. =\ thanks in advance for any replies..

uhho sounds like u fawked something up. first check the lt head light fuse to make sure the high beam one and low beam one arent blown. if they are obviously replace them. sounds like u overloaded the head light wiring. kind of like adding a 110w bulb to a 65w socket. if the fuse is ok check the wiring from the headlight bulbs as far as u can go. to make sure they arent burned up. if they are then u need to replace the burnt wire segments. by the way u never hook up fogs to headlights for power, as u prolly figured out by now. good luck and hit me up if u got any more questions.

maybe u need a new battery..

what kind do u have?

with headlights/foglights/non-factory system/and everything sucking power out of your battery/alternator.. it might not be producing enough juice for ya..

maybe u should have that checked out..

ALSO

check to see if u installed everything on the foglights right.. maybe u messed up somwhere along the line.. double check
