24lbs. at rest, but you have to look at rotational inertia which makes it seem like much more than 24lbs. I used to be a sponsored mountain bike racer and saving a couple grams in wheel weight was better than on parts of the bike that don't spin. A car is obviously much heavier so the difference would be much less noticeable. I'd be curious if anyone has any numbers about wheel rate relative to acceleration.

Yes, the rotational inertia is the key. 6 pounds was how much less some SSRs I was looking at were. For a bit more coin Volk has rims that are even lighter. Anyone got experience w/ either of these or know of a good place to buy Volks?

our stock 16 inch rims weigh bout 20lbs. if u put a rim on there say 15 lbs then thats 5lbs less on each wheel which is like 20lbs. i heard a good estimate is to multiply that by 7 and that like takin 140 lbs of dead weight out of ur car. u should notice an improvement. size also matters. the bigger u go the slower u go. my friends 00 si. he bought new rims racing hart c5s and they are 17s when he started w/ 15s stock. the car accels much faster with the stocks on. even though the racing harts weigh bout the same as his stocks
