Light bulbs

I'm sorry if someone already answered this question but

I just got my clears yesterday, I am going to switch the lights so it looks like fog lights in the front..

I only have one question......
i noticed that the if I switch the wiring on the bulbs the turn signal wiring will have a smaller bulb. Do they sell amber bulbs that size? how much and where? pep boys?

Thanks for your help

the side marker light, soon to be turn signal in your case, is a 194 bulb, and yes it comes in amber, available at most auto parts stores ($1.79 a pair at Auto Zone).

You can also get (at auto parts stores) a socket for a dual filament bulb (1157) so your side marker will stay a side marker, and your "turn signal" bulb stays on with the parking lights also, but gets brighter as the turn signal flashes.

On my pics page, you can see how it looks with the whole lens lit up, I used the dual filament bulb in mine.

Do the dual filament bulbs come in white or blue?

I just have the normal 1157 bulbs in mine because I still have the amber bumper lenses. They can be purchased in all sorts of colors just like 1156 (single filament) bulbs, including "super white", blue... you name it. Auto Zone and Pep Boys have APC colored bulbs for like $3 a pair.

I got mine out of a totaled accord we have for a parts car. But they can be found at auto parts store for a couple bucks... i'm guessing around $3 a piece. Bring your lens with you to match up the socket, so you know they just turn and lock in place.

hey SomeKidwithaCL,

i just came from Pep Boys and they had the 194 bulbs in amber, and they had the 1157 in amber also.....cool

but I have another question, the socket for the 1157 is bigger that the socket for the 194 ....do I have to modify the clear lens to accomodate the 1157 socket or can I use 916 bulbs which were bigger that the 194's but had the same size stem. whew! I think i just lost myself....

thanks for your help
