Lets hack that bitchin new Accord key
Lets hack that bitchin new Accord key
it looks like its got all the functions our keyfob has, so i wonder could u take apart the honda key, switch out the metal part, chip, and circuit board with the CL stuff and make it work!

also check out these cool switchblade keys that just came out on the aftermarket. Unfortunatly they don't have fob functions built in

The CL remote FCC ID is: A269ZUA108, when you search ebay, search titles and descriptions. The Accord remote that will work for the CL is: A269ZUA101 and the civic remote is: A269ZUA106, although the civic remotes do not have a trunk button.

My dad used to have an '04 Accord with that key. Now he's gotta Pilot and an Odyssey. The Accord key is very similar to the Pilot and Odyssey keys. The only difference is that it doesn't have the trunk release button. If anyone wants pics comparing the sizes of the keys to the CL one, let me know I have all three.

what up folks, hydroponiktoka chiming in again
ya , my homie ding69 (member here) is the master of remote swaps he made one for me , i got thrown into a pool soon after and it was ruined
, i made another one myself!
u have to swap the guts from the original to the new, (you will have to file down the sides of the 02+ remote case, so the old will fit)
jimmy!, holla at me

^^ its ok, i was going to put a turbo on my f23, but decided against it after buying an H22 and built all the internals, installed a t4. I was about to install when i decided that it would be a waste of time putting that engine in my heavy ass car, therefore i sold my engine and made some profit and decided to keep my f23 and put on airbags. I just bought a '06 Tahoe and put on 24' giovannis

that was the best emoticon response in the history of... whatever it is we're doing. NOW begone you hijackers! I am actually expanding this and buying a VW switchblade key too. It IS possible to put in the security bypass transponder (i think) into the vw key, and I'm hoping i can find a way to get our chip plugged up to its buttons. If I figure it out then comes the biggest hurdle of all: getting that ugly ass VW replaced with a purty A
Hey first gen'rs how has life been!?!?! I don't know if any of you know, or care but after selling my CL i moved on to a BMW X5 and after a year of that moved on to a brand new 06 TL Auto Nav!!!!! LOVE THE CAR, had it for a week and a half. Gonna do a full a-spec on it, keep it clean.
NOW, for the remotes. This was a LONG time ago, but I can remember.....
You need to take your orig 1st gen remote and remove your board/battery and throw the casing out in the trash. Take the second gen remote and cut the rubber board wrap/button buffer so it fits flush and does not wrap around the baord anymore. After this, you need to sand, cut and grind parts of the control board and the inside portion of the new remote. the bottom portion of the remote, the side where the "A" emblem is. Test fit it and make sure, most importantly, that your board is making a good connection with the battery. This is the hardest part and takes the most work. I should have done a DIY how to with pics, but never got around to it.
Any other questions feel free to PM me. I really don't come into the first gen section anymore, but im in the 3G TL all the time.
Good Luck!
