yep, you need a resistor.

usually if one side blinks really fast it means that either the front or rear bulb is burnt out

since led's draw less of a current, your car things the bulb is burnt out, and blinks faster. You'll need some resistors, you can get them at your local radio shack.

you need to throw a low resistance, high wattage resistor in parallel with the led, probably easier done on the wires leading to the socket. has anyone ever tried using the old bulb as a resistor? thats like a 5 watt resistor right there, dont have to buy one from the crooks at radioshack. i would assume you just have to solder some wires to the old bulb then black out the glass with marker/tape/spray paint.

Then you have too much resistance. Stock 5W bulb + 2W LED... The flash will be slow.

you mean too much current. youre right, unless the fast blinking is caused by the sensor thinking the light is burnt out, in which case it would blink just fine with the extra bulb? but then you have too much current draw and might burn something

you can also add it (resister) to the rear lights wires, they are easier to get to. thats what people do here in england with american cars with led light conversions.

i dont know i just installed a higher watt turn signal bulb.. and problem solved.. as long as you can produce the expected load your fine. the led bulb he bought should have been made with some resistors to eliminate the problem. but like i have the side marker turn signals (not by choice and they are the stick on type) i had to step up the turn sighal bulb to make up for the parking/turnbulb i made white. sounds confusing i know...

Wilp, your car looks little and certainly European.

Hoss is taking good care of your old girl Precious.

Have you named your car yet? May I suggest the "Buzz Bomb." Quite an infamous object where you are at. The old people lived in fear of those things back in the day.

i sold the rover, the wife wanted something she could drive (rover was a stick) and i wouldnt let her drive the tl on the wrong side of the road, so we bought her an automatic prelude. but that buzz bomb thing is a good idea if i want to get my tires slashed.. i still might do it.. maybee something subtle, like 3" wide name tape.

i miss prescious alot, i know it sounds weird, but it feels like an ex girlfriend. then i take the tl out and do 130 on the a11, and all is well again..

and to keep this post about headers, i have stone racing (xsracing i think) headers for the cl-s 6 speed. and they fit perfect on prescious, and now they fit perfect on my tl.
