Couple ques for you..
Who's fabricating the mounts & how much for an additional set to be made?
I take it the bracket/mount is whats being custom made, anyway to get them with poly motor mounts?
What headers are u guys running on this project? CL-S 6spd or CL-S auto headers?
On v6p u once mentioned a DIY/ guideline manaul on this swap for the 6th gen AC's, is this gona happen. How bout one for the 1st gen cl and how much would you be asking for it?
Thank you for your time..

We are using the OBX headers I have off my old engine. They fit just fine, unlike the 2nd gen CL's. As for the pressure plate ThinJim asked about. If I remember correctly, Aidan had trouble with finding a shop with the right equipment to try new things out with the plate. Or it just couldn't be done.

CLS engine stroked to a 3.5 liter, put into a car that is 300lbs lighter (I stripped about 100lbs, making it 400lbs lighter than a stock CLS).......yea, I would have to say it'd do some damage. Plus all the bolt ons from my old engine are going on this one.

I'm currently making them. I guess I could make a gig...depends on how my time works out.

actually the rear mount is stock for the cl.....just shifted over about 4 inches and the for the front mount I used a factory nissan RB26 mount. for the drivers side I actually need to make a sub-frame connector so that I can mount the left side of the engine to something

ya I'm actaully going to work with cocoa to write the thing....the rest I don't know....but I will make one for the 1g cl
a while back , and I think it was you, you mentioned something along the lines of making a or having made a better than stock pressure plate. What is the outcome of this? any details such as stock clamping pressure and new clamping pressure on the performance pressure plate?
well here's the scoop...I currently make a disc. as for a higher pressure pressure plate I could make one except I have not found a source yet for a stater ring gear for the flywheel. the factory pressure plase are automatically adjusting ...and nobody messes with them....typically all that is done for car like this, the bmws, audi's....they just make a single mass aluminium flywheel with a sprung clutch and a non adjusting pressure plate. the whole deal would cost about 7-800 to make...yet another reason I did not persue it...with a standard retail mark up the thing would cost 1100-1400....which really isn't that bad when you compare it to other clutches of similar construction...but honestly who would buy it.....
oh ya let me know how these look

I've got to comment on this. Leaded gas will not eat your valve seats. when the car world made the switch to unleaded gas in the mid 70's, most cars on the road at that time were made for leaded gas. the cars that were made for leaded gas had a problem with unleaded because of materials used in the valve seats. Lead acts as a lubricant on those vehicals. People had more problems running unleaded in cars that were made for leaded, not the other way around.
I've been running leaded fuel in my cl now for months with the occasional tank to attempt to wash away lead deposits that are left on the 02 sensors. I have not had one problem and the car does run better with leaded than unleaded, whether or not the unleaded is 100 octane or not. Your valve seats were ate up by some other reason.
If anything, the seat material on cars nowadays are superior to that of material in the leaded gas days as they are hards and withstand the heat from unleaded gasses.
There was a day when I'd go to a Sunoco and fill er up with 108 octane. They had a dial on the side of the pump and you turned it to the desired octane you wanted, anywhere from 90 octane and up.
Cheers and keep us posted on your ride, looking forward to seeing some numbers!
