EM2 is up and running. It redlines at 8600rpms, not 8900 like I had mentioned, my bads. It's damn sick.

Here is the link to the pics of my friend's K20A2 EM2. For those of you that have been at my house before, the house should look pretty familiar Anyways, as you can see, we love the black on black scheme, lol.

Here's something I didn't know . The curb weight of the CLS is 3510 lbs. Based on this site:

http://www.edmunds.com/used/2003/acu...252/specs.html

I was always under the impression they were 3400 lbs. Puts a bigger smile on my face to see that the engine is going in a 300+ lb lighter car.....

I just bought a JDM book about accords and their products. Holy crap you would not believe the kind of suspension they make for our cars. I've gone to their sites, but it's all in japanese. I've found some bad ass shit for our cars. I'm thinking of calling in hopes of them having someone that speaks english. I have found some companies that will literally blow the doors off the usual tein set ups we can get. Just thought I would share it with you guys. Have you guys heard of Endless, Jay's racing, or Stillway? Well they make suspension for our cars. Granted that it's going to run around 3 g's, but damn, well worth it....

J's Racing make shit for us??? do they make engine torque dampener's for our cars like for other hondas, and i was gonna buy endless rotors and pads for my car. but the speed shop i went to said it wouldnt be worth it cuz it will take forever for the brakes to come in from japan. and my car is in dire need of new brakes. and whats the name of the book.

Well, I'm leaving to work in about 30min. I'll be personally working on my swap with Aidan. Wish me luck guys...

And, yes, drift sucks, it's all about Solo II (circuit racing).

Man, I'm going to miss Autobacs. That place rocks. I should take pics to show the rest of the people on the boards what it looks like. You need 3 million dollars of your own money to open one up. I'm surprised the eastcoast doesn't have one.

Got the center console taken apart. Took the A/C lines, and cruise control off. Took out the auto shifter and the line that connected to it, then the pedals. Took out the ecu, the steering wheel (Aidan took the steering wheel off actually), and drilled some holes in the firewall. That's pretty much what I did. Aidan got in the clutch master cylinder, so that's done. We also got the shifter and linkages in, but the piece that the shifter goes in through the console is not screwed in yet. We have to cut some metal away in order to get it in. The brackets that go on to the block and connect to the motor mount I received ended up being wrong. The brackets came off a 97 accord instead of a 98-02 model like I needed.

I got home today and wrote down about 3/4 of a page of information I remebered about the 6 speed tranny and how to get it to work in general. There is more to this then I had expected. One thing though, our wiring is different than the 98-02 accords making this a harder obstacle. I will get into details later on simply because I'm still kind of confused as to what the hell is going on with the wiring and I would hate to give out false information right now.

I will personally write a DIY on this swap to help those that are ever interested in doing this swap at one point in time. I will also attempt to explain as to why things are done the way they are done and why certain things won't work if done a different way as I'm provided with more information (talk about a run-on sentence, lol).

Also, let me provide you guys with some info on an easier swap, the J35A4/J30A1 swap. For that swap, all that is needed is a short block off the 01-02' MDX, or the 02'-04' Odyssey. It is a direct replacement of your J30A1 block, and no other modifications are needed. You'll see improvements in the low end and mid range. You will keep your stock head for this swap obviously. You can pick one of these short blocks for a fairly cheap price. I got mine for about $650 shipped form Canada. Labor will probably run around $800 depending on the shop and locatioin (SoCal has got it best, lol)....

I ran my friend who ran a 14.9 at got smoked by about 2 cars or more. Your car will not run in the 14's with the mods you have.

Well, remember how I said one of the mounts had to be custom fabricated......lol, it turns out you need 3 custom fabricated mounts. You'll also have to drill into the subframe to get one of the mounts to bolt on to something. We took off one of the brackets from the subframe and rewelded it 4 inches to the passenger side. Also, about 8 inches had to be cut off the subframe in order to fit the 6 speed tranny. It was a cock tease looking at the engine and tranny in, lol. I'll continue to keep you guys updated.

Oh yea, Sanjoseroller......I'll be taking a road trip up north to break in the car. I'm going to be driving up the PCH all the way up North Cal if you want to set up a date and time to see it. I'll let you know when the car is done, and the day I'll be driving up there. My friend with his K20 EM2 is going to be driving his car for fun as well up north with me. I won't bring the spare tranny in my car though, in case you wanna ask that, sorry about that. Like I said, I'd have my friend in his truck take it, but it'll cost him more in gas than what I'd get out of the tranny, lol.

That is BS. How ugly is it you ask? He emailed me pics:

Hes pretty pissed about this, and he already said hes going to take em off and do his usual flat black over the blue/silver.

In other news..

We all got love for Cocoa, hope to see his beast finally running soon..

HAHAHHAHAHA I don't care if he likes it.....I paint all the vavle cover for the motors I build that way

besides something about the 3.5 cl-s 6 speed in the 1g cl will prolly attract more attention than the valve covers anyways....

could have been worse...could have painted them gold.....but then I'd just be biting off of smokie Yunik.......and I bet you know who that even was....granted I'm no smokie...but then I stay away from the gold too
