Last chance mod before fall/winter
As some of you know, I picked up a set of 18" 5zigen Super 6 Gunmetal Grey rims well over a month ago, and debated mounting them since there were only a few months before the nasty cold weather rears its ugly head.....
Since I hated looking at the sexy rims sitting idly by on the carpeted floor of my spare bedroom, I picked up a wheel/tire stand (a hot $13.99 deal) last week to protect my rims and to cover them from the dust until spring '09.
Well after hearing how great the weather was going to be this last long weekend (its a Canadian Thanksgiving) before Xmas....and possibly the very last warm 20C+ degrees, sunny long weekend -- I bit the bullet and picked up a set of new 225-40-18 Nankang NS-II tires earlier this afternoon!
After picking up the tires for cheap at a local tireshop, I then dropped off the rims (and tires) to my trusted garage to have them mounted and balanced. I had to get back to work, so I'll pick it up tomorrow.
I also picked up some anodised blue tuner lugs, and a set of black graphite security lug locks to protect it all!
Sorry pix not available until tomorrow when I get them all installed
Looks like I'll be closer to finishing off the mods that I've wanted this year after all!

Sorry took so long, had to work all day...managed to sneak out to install the rims/tires then back to work -- more pix tomorrow!
Last pic before she headed over to my mechanic's shop....
At the garage, waiting for the rims and tires to be installed...this is exciting!
Look at those sexy 225-40-18 Nankang NS-II tires mounted to the hot looking 5zigen Super 6 rims -- all ready to go!
1st rim/tire is put on...lookin' good so far
Close up (check out the KVR slotted rotor peeking through) -- with blue tuner lugs and graphite black lock (all for security)
David helps pre-install all the tires/rims before tightening it with the proper torque wrench!
Rear view on hoist -- check out the great view of the Magnaflow exhaust tips and the wider track from the tires....sweet
My girl, my pooch, my sexy ride!
Side view of the tires/rims...nice I gotta admit.
Final view before the sun sets....looking surprisingly good!
I'll try to get some more pix tomorrow -- I didn't think it would turn out as great as it did, I'm pleasantly surprised!

I've been debating the tint job....been avoiding it though.
Not good experience with tints on previous cars -- every car that I've had that were tinted, were always targetted by punk-thieves. They always seem to drawn to tinted rides because most would be equipped with serious A/V mobile gear and break in and steal everything!

I just decided to install them and use 'em for few months b4 the nasty winter rolls around.
I will be driving our winter 4x4 (Suzuki Sidekick Sport) while the CL is parked away.
Have a great gobble gobble day!

thanks! i thought it did look good with the stockies, however now it looks hella sexier with the new rims/tires
yeah i'm happy i have those stocks, they were the best looking out of all the other styles that were available for the the CL from Acura OE
thanks! i didn't really expect it to turn out as good looking as it did! and it fills in the wheel wells quite nicely....i'll take better pix today

Rims look great man, should at least debadge those back emblems ftw

I'm afraid to debadge and end up with that ghosting outline (worse is that I don't have time to debadge it myself...)
thanks for the input! I'm riding on Form & Function Type 1 coilovers
Form & Function Type 1 coilovers
The ride is just as good as before, and no -- it is not harsher with 225-40-18!
Surprising the rims/tires combined with only 1.5" drop can look so good. I highly recommend others get F2 Type 1 coilovers, they are great!

Here's a few more pix I took today
Front view with the Vibrant-branded driving lights which were installed over a month ago -- I didn't want the lights to stand out too much.
Side view of my ride.
View of side car from rear
Another quarter view -- sexy....
Here's some quick night time shots I took of my ride in a parking lot, after having some dinner (damn I gotta admit black CL's look sexy at night!):
