KYB AGX: Whats your favourite settings?

What settings do you guys recommend for the KYB AGX shocks? I would like a nice and comfy ride!! I have the Neuspeed Sports as well.

I just got my springs and shocks June 10th. I can't wait...installation taking place June 17th. Wow, I'm so excited.

Is it very hard to adjust the shocks once they are installed?

I ride on "4" in the front and "5" in the rear. However, this isn't the best setting for a "comfy ride".

You'll probably want 1 or 2 for the front and 1 or 2 for the rear.

Changing the rear settings is pretty easy. You just need to crawl under the car, right behind each wheel, and you can reach the "dial" to change settings.

On the 3.0 (I'm not sure about the 2.2/2.3), changing the front shocks is a little more involved. The factory shock tower brace covers the top of one of the shocks, preventing quick adjustment. I have to remove the brace that covers that shock, make the change, then replace the brace. The opposite side is not covered, and can be set quickly.

Have fun!

Hey Rick, is it better to have the front and rear different. Like you said, do you think 1 in the front and 2 in the rear would be pretty good?

Is it better to make it stiffer in the rear?

I acutally like the car stiffer in the front, since this is where most of the car's weight is located. You can only change between 1-4 for the front, but you can change from 1-8 in the rear.

Right now, I'm running 4 in the front and 8 in the rear, as I am "picking races" where ever I go! This helps me with high speed cornering, but does nothing for a comfy ride!

I keep the front on 4 because, it's just a pain to keep undoing the strut brace everytime I want to adjust the shocks.

I'll change the rears, depending on what type of driving I'm doing.

I run 4 in the front for cornering and 3 in back for comfort. 5 in the rear is a bumpy ride but the handling is even more amazing.

3F,6R is pretty bumpy
4F,8R is fun for a while and then gets real annoying unless you drive on glass or marble roads.

Now I have 1F and 3R. This ride is pretty comfortable, but slightly floaty/too much body roll. The rear makes a bigger difference on ride quality than does the front. I'll probably put the fronts to 2 or 3 and keep the rear at 3, because 4 is a bit too stiff for my roads.

Yes, the strut bar is a bitch on the 2.3 also.

On 1F and 3R the ride is "pretty comfortable"? Compared to stock? Whe you say floaty, is it still better than stock?

I was thinking about going 2F and 4R to remove some body roll and get a good ride. Maybe 2F/3R, but rears should be easy to change. I just have to decide on the front.

It's definitely better than stock in terms of handling, even on the lower settings because the springs are stiffer. But the ride quality is pretty similar to stock on those settings. 2F 4R is probably the best compromise between comfort/handling; i had that setting for a while and liked it. What is odd is that there is a pretty big difference between 3 and 4 in the rear in terms of ride comfort.

Some1, when you get your setup, make sure you take pics! You planning to do a camber kit now, or just wait? *thread officially hijacked*

I'm waiting on the camber kit for now. I am going to wait at least a week, possibly a month from what I've heard, until I get an alignment done. I'll probably need a front kit for sure. As for the back, some people on here suggested using washers and longer bolts, so I'm not sure about that one.
