Kill Switch and a temp quick fix

The past 2 months, the cars stolen around my area has risen so much, that the university sent emails stating to be careful, blah... etc.

I plan on getting a kill switch of some kind, so if you have any info where i can look for something like that (what kind of shop), and how much it should run, if you have one or have done one, tell me some info about it.

But in the mean time, i was wondering if there is something that i could take out of my car, like a chip, or something like that could help prevent my car from being stolen.

I have a 98 2.3CL

thanks for your help

The fuel pump fuse?

On my del sol that I used to have I had an aftermarket battery cable with fuse holder for the stereo.

The starter and everything was wired after the fuse, so pulling that 60 amp fuse pretty much disabled the car.
