There were mounts for the k20 a long time ago for the 5th gen accords. I was going to build another 1st gen with a k20 as a daily driver, but decided it wouldnt be wise. I'm hoping to see someone do it as well.

would it be possible to have a k24 block with a k20 head? has anyone done that yet? that would be pretty hot to have in a 1st gen. If theres kits for the k24 swap into an accord, it can go into a CL too right?

building a K20 in a CL is pointless, its the same concept of of a B16/18 in a Accord/CL, not enough torque. the K24A4 or A2 is where it is at.

What would be the absolute BEST engine to swap into a cl? An H22 or a K24?

i dont think the swap would be worth the money. Although the swap would be unique...its somewhat rare and would cost alot of money and so-so performance results when ... for the same amount of money you could swap the classic H in there and with the extra ( K ) money...start modifing. Although this isnt anything new...which may be the whole point to the K swap....its more cost effictive and will give you better performance gains ....minus the 6th gear. Your looking at 6 to 7 thousand dollars for a proper K swap labor excluded. Think about that. Yes, it would be the First for the 1st gen Cl......but not the first for the platform. Its been done by hasport using the accord. Remember......performance comes first....being unique later for those who realisticaly cant afford these ( dream ) swaps. Ill post pictures of my F20b swap tommaro. Everything went well and after the test drive........WELL worth the money if your car has weight reduction done to it.

pretty much as of now the K24 is not worth it, as theres more K24's on the road which there will be cuz god knows Honda makes enough Accords/Elements/CR-V's the prices will go down, but as of now the H22 is your best bet.

I'm surpized that you would swap out that f22 with all the work that alex put into it. What's happening to that engine?

well.....i didnt exactly ruin the F22......but i did destroy the head and ive had this F20b in my garage for over a year. Soooo, why not ? The f20b isnt exactly built, but the comp was raised after the decking and clearance was check ftw. I should see some great N/A no nitrous action for a bit....unitl i got pics ready...ill load em up. BTW, the owner of the car before me....lives 2 houses down here in CO ....no joke.

i've been hearing about the k24 block with k20 head making around 230whp.
what would be even better is if someone took the whole awd system out of the crv and the k24 block, and swap a k20 head on there. that be a great car, you'd have minimum tire spin from a launch, and have 230whp to your advantage. but i bet it'd make the CL weight as much as a crv though.........even though the weight is pretty close as it is
