Why are people interested in going to car meets? I was at the last Bay Area meet about two weeks ago and I have my reasons for going. For one, I just love the atmosphere and the excitement seeing cars role in. How there are so many different styles yet all are of the same base car. TL, CL, etc...

So what are your reasons for going? What makes you enjoy it soo much.

anyways i like it because i enjoy seeing old faces and meeting new people who are into the same things as i am - cars! its also fun cruising around with 65+ cars, all acuras and looking at the peoples reactions and we drive by.

It's hella fun to meet other people who are interersted in their cars as much (if not more) than you are... especially if they're the same cars!

that, and it can also lead to inspiration for future mods that you'd like to do to your car.

for example, I was at the meet in Markham Park last year and my CL was bone stock. I saw a bunch of cars there that werent even CLs, but it made me want to do so many things to my car just being in the presence of others who'd already done stuff to theirs.

I'm trying to pull one together in my area soon, just so that I can meet people around the area with similar interests in cars, and see other AZ members whips in person. It's good for people with the same hobbies to hang out.

 

i think its cool to go to meeets to see the same car as yours with different effects... for inspiration etc.. i can count the number of people i know that own 1st gens on under 2 fingers.. lol but its sweet when we roll together even the 2 of us... imagine 65.. WOAFOHAO

 

i've never been to an acurazine meet but i went to a toronto accords meet last week for the first time....

i like going because you can check out everyones cars and you meet new people....and when we go for a cruise we get everyone looking at us & checking out the cars

 

BUT usually there is an abundance of sausage at the meets

Most people out here just go to a spot and sit around infront of there cars. Its oh so lame however you do get to meet some hott women so it takes that away. Mainly what it boils down to is the women!

 

It depends .. as mensionned, the atmosphere, the crusing ..

If you've heard about the meet online like on this board, you meet up with contacts ..

Sometimes there are organized autocross or drag racing depending on the location.

A car meet is a great place for a parts vendor to make groupe buys ..

I go to meet new people. Most of the guys I've met off here are pretty cool.

Are there ever any CL Acurazine meets in Texas? Something close to the DFW metroplex??

I go because I love cars and being around them. It's always nice to see the different paths each individual takes in modding his own car. It shows a lil bit about the individual and what he uses the car for. And I also think it's tight to mob deep
