I just ordered a new headunit, a Pioneer DEH-P850MP

Should be here on the 30th, going to TRY and install it myself along with my subs, going to need a wiring kit for the subs though... 1000W amp I can use 4 gauge?

4 gauge will do. I take it you've never done a stereo install before? Don't worry its cake. Don't let the wires intimidate you, all you have to do is match em up

the price has gone down on it but I got a used factory reconditioned one for $307 shipped. Thought I got a decent deal on it.

Justin is that the DEH-P8500MP, because thats the one I have, its fucking awsome.... thats all I can say about it.

almost, but it's the premier edition. i have the 750 mp, but i want to upgrade to the 9400.

the 9400 has the same features as the 8500, but cost $300 more if i was going to do that i would just get the DVH-P5000MP its cheaper than the 9400 and it is a DVD player

anyway it is the DEH-P850MP not the 8500 I don't really see the difference in the decks. But this one should be good enough for me I don't need show quality sound.
